Nov. 2019 Announcement of the categories in Newsletter Lehre

May 15, 2020

Deadline for all nominations (self-nominations as well as nominations of others)
(no application necessary at this point)

Online student survey
The Unit for Quality Assurance will conduct a short, anonymous student survey. All participants of a nominated course will be asked to answer three short questions to provide feedback on the course.

July 6, 2020

Nominated teachers submit their course descriptions (via the CTL website)
All applicants are asked to write a concise and compelling description of their course, detailing and justifying their approach in designing the course. A PDF template will be made available shortly.

July 31, 2020

Preparing the Selection
The CTL and the Unit for Quality Assurance will work together in preparing the selection process: They put together a document including an assessment of all submissions on the basis of the published selection criteria (see below).

Sept. 2020 Decision of the rectorate
The prize winners will be informed
Oct. 2020 Award ceremony
An additional audience prize will be awarded to one of the prize winners via online voting by the event participants

Selection Criteria:

Please consult the respective category documentation (Teaching & Assessment Well Aligned, Successful Introductory Courses) for the category-specific selection criteria. In addition to the category-specific criteria, the following criteria will be considered:

  1. The student survey results,
  2. course evaluation (if available), as well as
  3. an informative and complete course description in the course directory.

Information on the award-winning teachers and their courses will be published on this website. There will be no information on submissions not selected for an award.
