Academic research and writing in courses
Learning and academic reading, writing and research at the University challenges and encourages students. And challenges many teachers when it comes to supporting heterogeneous student groups.
The steps required to develop academic reading, writing and the ability to create your own research project from what you have learned often take longer than one semester. A clear set of tasks, explicit expectations and (peer) feedback provide a framework to guide students in the often challenging learning processes involved.
We are happy to help you. In addition to advice, workshops and materials, you can invite the CTL writing assistants to your course for writing didactics pop-ups, 45-60 minute sessions on common challenges faced in academic reading and writing.
